In June 2009, on Toni's birthday, his teenage sons Merwann and Christophe, presented their father with the most memorable gift - a tower of 200 macarons, each lovingly handmade by the two boys.
Back then, fine pâtisserie was not easily found other than a few 5-stars hotel in Hong Kong. After a few months of preparation, PAUL LAFAYET was born in Hong Kong.
Paul Lafayet was found out of one man's longing; a long way from his home in France and his favourite pastry shops. Ever faithful to culinary traditions with an Asian twist on the side, the family-run patisserie combines old recipes with new flavours, ever fresh by the day. The desserts are created with the same passion, care, and love as we do at home.

PAUL LAFAYET started in December 2009 with a petite shop at the opening of K11 Art Mall, Hong Kong. From a single location, today PAUL LAFAYET has 9 retail boutiques, a central kitchen and headquarters in Hong Kong.
In 2017, we officially launched our first flagship in Shanghai, China. Moving forward, we will be launching another flagship in Shenzhen, China early 2019.
From its modest storefront, PAUL LAFAYET expanded all over the city and to Greater China, offering the finest in French pastry, faithful to the French tradition but enlightened with an Asian twist.
PAUL LAFAYET promises to bring you a real taste of Paris half a globe away.
