I. HOW DO WE USE YOUR DATA?
When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.
Paul Lafayet uses the personal information we collect for the following general purposes: to handle your online order and delivery, customize the content you see, fulfill your requests for products and services, improve our services, contact you, bill you, collect fees from you, and conduct analysis.
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.
We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.
We take payment security seriously. All transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
V. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Paul Lafayet will never sell or rent your data to any organization or third party. The sales staff in our boutiques as well as customer service staff may need to consult the data but cannot, under any circumstances, give out the data. The information you give us will never be supplied to unrelated third parties unless we are required to do so by law.

Third parties we use to supply and deliver a product, for example postal services for delivery. Third parties who help us to provide computer services, such as platform providers, web hosting services, maintenance and technical support services for our databases, as well as for our software and applications, may have data about you (these services may occasionally need access to your data in order to carry out certain tasks requested.) Providers of payment services and information agencies in order to evaluate your creditworthiness and to verify information when necessary to conclude a contract with you.
We take data protection seriously. To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption.
Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.
You may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you place another order.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
