What makes our Crème Brûlée so special?
Every Paul Lafayet Crème Brûlée is freshly made by hand using high-quality ingredients. Crème Brûlée starts with a base of rich egg yolks combined with cream, sugar, and Madagascan vanilla, one of the most decadent and premium quality ingredients in the world. The mixture is poured into individual ramekins before being baked in an oven until firm but still slightly jiggly in the centre.
Once cooled, each portion receives a thin layer of cane sugar which gets torched until golden brown - giving the crème brûlée its signature crunchy top layer. At Paul Lafayet, we insist on torching our custard fresh at the time of order.
