In June 2009, Merwann and Christophe presented their father, Toni, with the most memorable gift for his birthday- a tower of 200 macarons, each handmade with love by his boys. Touched by this gesture that brought upon a great deal of nostalgia, PAUL LAFAYET was founded from one man's longing for a taste of home and his fond memories of spending time in his favourite pastry shop in France. As fine pâtisserie were only limited to a few 5-star hotels back then, Toni saw opportunity to fill a gap in the market. To make fine pastries readily available, as he enjoyed once upon a time in France. PAUL LAFAYET first opened doors in December 2009 with a petite shop at the opening of K11 Art Mall in Hong Kong.
With humble beginnings with a single modest storefront, PAUL LAFAYET has since grown to 7 retail boutiques, a central kitchen, and a headquarters in Hong Kong.
Today, PAUL LAFAYET has expended into Greater China, offering the finest in French pastries that are faithful to the French tradition, but infused with an Asian twist. In 2017, we officially launched our first flagship in Shanghai, China.
